Agham Youth Joins Global Vigil for Climate Change

Ok, I know this post is kinda late.  But still, better late than never.

On December 11, 2009,  Agham Youth led what was among the first candle light vigils around world in solidarity with the global day of action to call for climate justice and 350ppm. The candle lights symbolize the rays of hope that world leaders will unite to form a fair, effective and legally binding deal in the COP15.  Moreover, these candle lights symbolize the burning passion of the youth of the Philippines and all over the world to struggle for climate justice.  On their own, these individual lights are small.  However, when combined together, they create a glowing torch and spark a strong movement.

On December 12, church and community leaders and also youth leaders from Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental gathered at Quezon Park to join the same global day of action.

“350ppm Now! Pagluwas sa Katawhan ug Kina-iyahan!”

“350ppm Now! Save the Environment, Save Humanity!”

“People’s Needs, Not Imperialist Greed!”
